Edward J. Thomas - World War II

Two Letters to Ed Dear Eddie, Fri. May 14, 1943

I (Harry) mailed your subscription to the Detroit News. Rain has stopped as your tennis court has four inches of water. Ford Motors wanted your address, so I gave it to them. I have a new camera which I'm sure works better than yours. Pocket flashlight batteries are impossible to get in Detroit, but I will send as soon as I find some.

Dear Eddie, Fri. May 14

I sent you some underwear, candy and a flashlight. Are potatoes hard to get like they are in Detroit. I am having a hard time finding razors. I put the $40 you sent in your account. The horse meet man wants to use refrigerator in garage. Harry says no. Mom
