Edward J. Thomas - World War II
Detroit
Edward spoke well of Detroit. He loved the city. So in addition to his army life I thought I would make reference to places he talks about in his war letters.

Thanks WBRW TV ~ Washington, Michigan for interviewing me August 14, 2019. As mentioned in my video there are resources you can download, including this army pamphlet of games that soldiers could play.
Thanks WTXL Channel 27 ~ ABC Tallahassee, Florida for including my dad's cousin's Leonard Tomaszewski's D-Day account. If you want to hear more and read his story, start here: D-Day.
This website started as a living story of my uncle's service in World War II. I found some 200 plus letters in my late uncle's office he used to run his business after the war, and during his retirement. It was in 2008 that I asked my father (deceased last November 2011) if I could have the letters and look at. In the last eleven years I have painstakingly read, organized and put up this website, that I am proud of.
