Above newspaper picture was probably from the Detroit News. It is from my grandmother's (Eddie's mom) scrapbook and inauguration day, Saturday January 20, 1945, less than three months later he would pass away at Warm Springs, Georgia.

This website started as a living story of my uncle's service in World War II. I found some 200 plus letters in my late uncle's office he used to run his business after the war, and during his retirement. It was in 2008 that I asked my father (deceased last November 2011) if I could have the letters and look at. In the last eleven years I have painstakingly read, organized and put up this website, that I am proud of.
