Edward J. Thomas - World War II

Dear Eddie,     Mon. Jan 1, 1945

I received a leter from Gladfelter in reply to my letter about picking up the mink. I wanted to go now but Gladfelter said he is snowed in, the heaviest snowfall in years. I will wait until the first of February.

I am building aluminmum trays to replace wooden ones. I bought this aluminum at a salvage stroe on Gratiot and Mt. Elliott. It should last a lifetime instead of a couple of years that galvanized trays last.

I am cross breeding since Black Cross and Sivler Sable are dominant. Farm lookin gis on hold due to the weather. I have been looking at Detroit News ads at boats, especially sailing vessels 30 to 50 feet in length. I looked on East Jefferson, prices wee from $2500 to $3750.
